Arabica coffee plants are very sensitive and demanding. The maturation process of a fragrant flower to the ripe coffee cherry takes about 8 to 10 months.
The coffee cherries for the coffee factory Blank Roast are picked by hand. Within 24 hours, the coffee cherries must be separated from the flesh. They are then cleaned and dried in the sun.
Low-quality beans and impurities are filtered out by hand.
For example, our Moore, a 100% organic Arabica coffee from Indonesia, has a full-bodied and pleasantly round taste. A special feature in many areas is the first treatment of the picked coffee cherries. In other coffee-growing countries the pulp residues are usually removed with large amount of water- in Indonesia you rub them manually in the sand.
